Each year during Lent, a group gathers to study something in preparation for Holy Week and Easter. This year, the Lenten Study Group will focus on a book by Dr. James Moore entitled, Give up Something Bad for Lent.
During Lent each year Christians give up something as an act of sacrifice and spiritual discipline. Often we give up something like chocolate, knowing that after Easter Sunday we can once again enjoy what we have given up. Dr. Moore challenges us to take it further - to give up something we are better off not doing. He invites us to seek God's help to focus on eliminating one habit or attitude that is destructive.
Following are the dates for the Lenten Study Group. These evenings will include moments of worship, reflection and music as we prepare our hearts and minds for Holy Week and Easter. All are welcome!
